I have to agree with Miranda- Carrie has great legs- and she can sing- I’ve heard better renditions of How Great Thou Art though and I’m not sure that qualifies somebody for entertainer of the year in Country Music- but, I’m not sure what does either- Country Music singer should be a prerequisite though.
When they first met, Fisher was playing center for the Ottawa Senators while Underwood was busy recording music and touring the world. A year after their wedding, they were able to bridge the gap in their bi-coastal romance when the Senators traded Fisher to the Nashville Predators, where Underwood was based.
Her second album, Carnival Ride, followed in 2007. It had one of the biggest opening weeks of all time by a female artist and won two Grammy Awards. Her next album, 2009’s Play On, was a commercial success led by the single “Cowboy Casanova”. Underwood’s fourth album, Blown Away (2012), earned her a Grammy Award and was that year’s second best-selling release by a female artist. Her first compilation album (2014), a chart and sales success, spawned the Grammy Award-winning crossover single “Something in the Water”. Her fifth album, Storyteller (2015), made her the only country artist to have all first five studio albums reach either numbers one or two on the Billboard 200 chart. With her sixth album, Cry Pretty (2018), she became the only woman to top the Billboard 200 with four country albums, and had both the biggest week for any album by a woman in 2018 and the best-selling solo female album of the year.
The reward? In each stop along her 60-plus-city Cry Pretty Tour 360, Underwood would pick a submission from that town, and the winner would sing that verse on stage and complete the song with Underwood.
Following her successful The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Round,” the new production will feature a brand-new stage in the middle of the arena floor, creating a unique 360-degree setting to allow fans on all sides of the arena an intimate view of the concert. This was hands down the greatest concert I have ever witnessed. I waited 15 years to see Carrie and she did NOT disappoint. Her vocals are incomparable and equally as powerful from the first song to the last power ballad. The production of the show is phenomenal as well and will make you feel a range of emotions. From Cowboy Casanova to Something in The Water, Carrie makes you feel empowered and sing your heart out. I will definitely be seeing her again. If you are considering buying tickets – DO IT. You will not regret it. Entertainer of the Year for sure.

That tune, paired with Two Black Cadillacs” and Blown Away,” formed an ideal trifecta of Underwood’s sweet spot – soaring songs that couch enough banjo and twang among the power chords to mollify country fans while also appealing to her own rock interests (note the lights-go-down pre-show choice of Guns N’ Roses’ Paradise City” and Underwood’s impressive aping of Steven Tyler’s iconic scream during her brief segue into Aerosmith’s Dream On”).
