It’s been an exciting time for CNCO, who have taken over the Latin pop world by storm, receiving a Latin GRAMMY nomination and taking home three Latin Billboard awards this year. The current members of CNCO are five young Latinos Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez, Zabdiel De Jesús, Richard Camacho and Joel Pimentel.

Once the five members of CNCO – Richard Camacho, Joel Pimentel, Christopher Vélez, Zabdiel De Jesús and Erick Brian Colón – walked away with the top prize on Univision’s reality show ‘La Banda’ a few years ago, things moved quickly. They toured with Ricky Martin, made some really strong records, and took over the world – or at least the Latin boy band part of the world. From “Hey DJ” to “Reggaetón Lento” to “Mamita,” the group has cranked out the hits and impressed everyone who hears them. By January 2016, CNCO released their first single, “Tan Facil.” After that, Ricky Martin took them on his One World Tour as his opening act. The band will launch their summer tour on April 30 in Pensacola, Fla. that will include stops in Dallas and Hartford, Conn., before wrapping up in Asbury Park, N.J. at the Festival.

Zabdiel De Jesús is a 21-year-old Puerto Rican, who knew he wanted to be a singer since he was 12. During his teenage years, he was part of a hip-hop and salsa group at his church. His passion for music was clearly visible; every single night when he performed at La Banda he left his soul on stage, winning over the audience that made him a member of CNCO.
In Me Necesita,” which translates to She Needs Me,” the American-Canadian and Latin American boy bands joined forces to bring to life a Spanglish bop that fuses sultry beats of reggaeton, pop, dance, and Hip-Hop. Richard Camacho grew up in the entertainment world with a musician and cameraman as a father and a dancer for a mother. Since he was 3-years-old, Richard knew that music ran through his veins; this 22-year-old Dominican also shares his love of music with his little brother, who also is a singer. His passion for the performing arts was evident to the voters, as well as the judges, who supported him in making his dream come true by becoming a member of CNCO.

In February 2018, CNCO made its debut at the legendary annual Viña del Mar International Song Festival in Chile, taking home one Gaviota de Oro, one Gaviota de Plata (Golden and Silver Seagull Awards) and the award for the Most Popular Artist of the Festival.

Latin pop boy band CNCO formed on season one of La Banda, the Spanish-language reality singing competition program created by Simon Cowell of American Idol and Latin American idol Ricky Martin. The five members went through several competition rounds with other singers before coming together at the finale with one another. The name was given to the band that night in reference to “cinco,” the Spanish word for five. A Billboard music critic compared CNCO to successful Latino groups like Salserín, Uff!, Menudo and Magneto in spearheading a new era of boy bands. The group opened for Ricky Martin on his 2016 One World Tour, Ariana Grande on her 2017 Dangerous Woman Tour and Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull on their shared 2017 tour.
