(In fact, the Thorn storyline was originally wiped out by H20: TWENTY YEARS LATER.) The good news is that the field is wide open for a new version of Tommy Doyle, and all the story points around him.

Halloween KillsDavid Gordon Green’s forthcoming slasher film Halloween Kills is set to continue the story of Laurie Strode, the former sister of Michael Myers and sole survivor of his initial spree of killings in Haddonfield, Illinois. For over 40 years, the silent and masked figure of Michael Myers has terrorized the fictional town of Haddonfield and movie audiences alike. If Myers was a Game of Thrones character, he’d definitely be House Greyjoy: What is dead may never die.

As previously reported , Blumhouse has dated the final two Strode-Myers sequels for October 16th, 2020 and October 15th, 2021. Once again, the Master of Horror himself John Carpenter will executive produce alongside McBride, Curtis, Green, and everyone else at Blumhouse. Although not officially confirmed, Carpenter told Consequence of Sound last December that he’s ready to score again.

An accompanying video focuses heavily on the end of the 2018 Halloween, during which Michael Myers was trapped in the basement of Laurie Strode’s forest fortress and burnt alive. We saw the flames wrap around Michael, seemingly consuming the unstoppable killer. It now appears Michael Myers survived, somehow, but a real answer will have to wait for Halloween Kills in 2020.

Filled with creepy imagery reminiscent of the original (plus that theme song ), the sneak peek shows Curtis’ character attempting to show her “Strode strong” side, as she lay bloodied on a gurney. This isn’t the first time viewers have seen Laurie in peril at the hands of Michael Myers, but it is their first time seeing Hall as the adult version of Tommy, aka the young boy Curtis’ Laurie babysat on Halloween night in the 1978 film. (In that iteration, actor Brian Andrews played Tommy Paul Rudd later portrayed the same character in 1995’s Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.) Hall’s Tommy can be seen in the clip gripping a baseball bat while drowned in red light.

Jamie Lee Curtis’ comments about the greater trauma surrounding Michael Myers’ two rampages in 1978 and 2018 have been confirmed by some exciting casting news that will bring back original characters from John Carpenter’s Halloween, as well as the original actors who played them.

Producer Jason Blum took to Twitter to post the behind-the-scenes photo from Halloween Kills, showing someone holding the iconic knife — whether this is Michael Myers himself isn’t clear. Jason Blum mentions there’s some stabbing business” going on during Halloween Kills, which fans of the horror franchise will be pleased to hear. Take a look at the behind-the-scenes photo from producer Jason Blum below.

Halloween Kills will hit theaters on October 16th, 2020 while Halloween Ends is coming on October 15th, 2021. Be sure to follow Dead Entertainment for all the latest news and updates. Anthony Michael Hall as Tommy Doyle, Lindsey’s friend and one of the kids Laurie babysat in 1978.

So one day, director David Gordon Green texts me when I’m off – I wasn’t shooting that day – and he goes, ‘Yeah, I got a call from Paul Rudd, and he sends his best and he gave you his blessings – he’s really excited that you’re playing the part.’ I never met Paul Rudd but I thought that was really nice.

Nancy Stephens’ Nurse Marion is also set to return for Kills with Robert Longstreet as Lonnie Elam (the young bully in the original film) and Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, reprising her role from the 1978 original. It was also previously announced that Halloween filmmaker and composer John Carpenter will be composing the score for both Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends.

This comes after a behind the scenes video from the set of the highly anticipated film was released on Halloween day, which you can watch below. Many photos have surfaced from the set over recent weeks (like the one above of David Gordon Green and Andi Matichak), and we will be rounding up some of our favorites into a gallery in the coming days.

We know that Curtis, Greer and Matichak are all meant to return for HALLOWEEN KILLS, as are actors James Jude Courtney and Nick Castle, who played Michael Myers. (Castle was the original actor under the mask back in 1978, and he played Myers for a couple scenes in the 2018 movie.) None of which tells us very much, but we can assume that the now-united Strode women will find themselves having to face their demon once again.

While no official release date has been announced for ‘Halloween Kills’, the film is expected to arrive in 2020. Its sequel, ‘Halloween Ends’ is slated for a 2021 release. Happy Halloween,” Curtis’ Laurie Strode says with a smile. Charlie Benton as Officer Richards, a police officer who was murdered by Michael Myers in the previous film.

Halloween Kills should give us a look into the Elam household, and its imperfections. Haddonfield itself seems to be a character in the upcoming sequel, with a ton of characters from the original Halloween set to appear. This include original cast members Kyle Richards , Charles Cyphers, and Nancy Stephens.

Michael Myers was born on October 19, 1957. 2 He had an older sister named Judith and a younger sister The family resided in a two-story house at 45 Lampkin Lane in the suburban town of Haddonfield , Illinois 3 By 1963, when Michael was six-years-old, he claimed to have suffered from bizarre, inexplicable nightmares and heard a “voice” in his head that would tell him to do things. The voices “tell me to say I hate people”, says Michael.

The clip shows footage of herself, Michael Myers (the villain of the film) and fellow actress Judy Greer. It also shows footage of the director David Gordon Green, who worked on the Halloween movie from last year. For instance, that film was a sequel to the 1978 movie.

For example, in a nod to the original Halloween sequel Halloween II, we see that Laurie Strode is taken to a hospital for her many injuries sustained while fighting against Michael. While that could explain her arc in Halloween Kills, her daughter Karen seems to be taking some time in a police station when granddaughter Alyson makes use of a shotgun.

If Michael does end up winning in Halloween Kills, then Laurie would likely end up dying at the hands of the Boogey Man. Laurie was supposed to die in the original script for David Gordon Green’s Halloween, so many have speculated that she will be killed off in one of the two sequels. If she dies in Halloween Kills, then Allyson would be the obvious choice to be the protagonist in Halloween Ends.

The story will expectedly follow the aftermath of the 2018 blockbuster sequel ‘Halloween.’ As an independent American slasher horror, the story revolves around Laurie Strode (Curtis) and her nemesis – Michael Myers, played by Nick Castle. The 2018 sequel showed a series of traumatizing events after Myers escapes from high-security confinement and returns to attack Laurie and her family. Laurie manages to ensure the safety of her daughter and burns their house’s basement down in an attempt to end Myers once and for all, but the ending indicates the evil survived, and that is probably where the upcoming 2020 sequel is going to pick up from. Laurie and Myers’ saga definitely “isn’t over” and ‘Halloween Kills’ will chronicle the same.

The Shape is primarily played by James Jude Courtney in 2018’s Halloween, but fans were thrilled to find out that Nick Castle would be wearing the mask for certain scenes. Fans were of course mainly on board for the new Halloween because Jamie Lee Curtis was returning to the series.

This was also the film that revealed that Laurie was actually related to Michael Myers. It’s possible that Halloween Kills could try to duplicate some aspects of Rick Rosenthal’s Halloween II by having the film mostly take place inside a hospital. However, that’s rather unlikely since Blumhouse is trying to distance their new trilogy from the previous sequels.

The actress says ‘Halloween Ends’ and ‘Halloween Kills’ will “unpack the first movie” and address the “cultural phenomenon of violence”. While casting hasn’t been announced, both Curtis and McBride are listed as exec producers of both films, as is original Halloween director (and composer of the iconic theme) John Carpenter.

What I love that David Gordon Green and Danny McBride and company did is they connected the dots for 40 years, now they’re going back to really unpack the first movie, bringing back all those characters whose lives were affected by what happened in 1978.
