Kane visited the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s audio lair to talk about his journey from Chattanooga kid to Nashville star. He’s a shy guy, but he opened up and talked about his life and his work. There’s no one like him, and that won’t change. We at the Museum are happy to call him a friend, and we recognize and appreciate the importance of what he’s doing and how he’s doing it.

Just days after a tragic car accident took the life of Kane Brown’s drummer, Kenny Dixon, the Heaven” singer felt it was important to attend the CMT Artists of the Year awards Wednesday night (Oct. 16) at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville.


This was the second significant crash to affect the Nashville music community in recent weeks. One of Dixon’s last tweets was a retweet of a Brown statement expressing sympathy for the loss of Josh Turner’s sound engineer in a California bus accident.

Brown’s self-titled album was released in December 2016 and debuted at No. 10 on the US Billboard 200. The record’s first single, What Ifs,” was recorded with country artist Lauren Alaina and became a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Country Airplay charts and spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Kane Brown is an American country music singer and songwriter. Similarly, he also released his first EP, titled Closer, in June 2015. Likewise, his new single, Used to Love You Sober”, was released on October 2015. After that, he also signed with RCA Nashville in early 2016, the actual song was included on his EP Chapter 1, which was released on March 2016. Besides that, he also released his first full-length album, the self-titled Kane Brown, on December 2, 2016.

After paying tribute to Dixon at the CMT awards show, Brown thanked everyone for their support in the wake of his loss. With over 1.8 billion streams, Kane Brown is country’s new young titan.

Brown shared footage from his wedding in his music video for “Good as You,” which debuted in October. The song appears on his second studio album, Experiment.

Over the course of 2018-19, Brown released several collaborations with artists such as Becky G , Camila Cabello and Digital Farm Animals , including a remix of ” Saturday Nights ” with R&B star Khalid which was released as a single. He also appeared on Brooks & Dunn’s album Reboot in a new rendition of their past hit ” Believe “. 45 In August 2019, Brown collaborated with Marshmello for ” One Thing Right “, 46 his first release to Mainstream Pop Radio.


Brown’s sophomore album, Experiment, debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart , making it the third country release to earn the spot in 2018. Kane Brown’s rise shows the influence that social media has in promoting and making the careers of talented performers. Prior to 2015, Kane Brown was posting covers of videos to his Facebook page. As his videos gained popularity, he eventually had more than a million followers on the social networking site. Growing up, Brown often listened to country music and R&B. In 2019, he won the CMT Music Award for Male Video of the Year with his music video for “Lose It.” Previously, he won the CMT Award for Collaborative Video of the Year, which featured friend and former high school classmate Lauren Alaina In the past, he has auditioned for both X Factor and American Idol.

Brown recently topped the airplay charts with Lose It”, his third consecutive No. 1 single at country radio. Lose It” follows chart-topping hits What Ifs” and Heaven,” which is nominated for Country Song of the Year for the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Brown’s current single, Good As You” impacted country radio this week as the No. 1 most-added song.

Kane has, of course, become one of country music’s biggest stars. He is beloved by his heroes, and he is in demand by fans. He is living what many of us would consider to be a grand dream, and that dream was enabled by many waking hours of work and dedication. Kane Brown insisted that a rare and enviable future would become his ever-present.

Funeral services were held this weekend for Whitfield County drummer, Kenny Dixon. During the awards show, country singer Chris Young delivered a touching performance of his song “Drowning,” which he sang in honor of Dixon’s memory.

Kane attended the CMT Artists of the Year ceremony just days after his band mate was killed in a car accident at 27 years old. When accepting an award at the event, Kane couldn’t keep from holding back tears as he paid tribute to his friend.

Two of the artists of the year honorees, Luke Combs and Carrie Underwood, were in the middle of touring and couldn’t attend the show, but Underwood performed two songs live on the show via her tour stop in Cleveland, Ohio. She stopped her show to address fans in the venue and watching on TV.


U.S. Bank today announces its official partnership with Kane Brown, an American country music singer on a continuation of its Music Made Possible series with the CMA Foundation. Music Made Possible is a joint effort to support musical education opportunities in schools and nonprofit organizations where there is the greatest need.

Brown’s emotional pain was readily apparent when the “One Right Thing” singer couldn’t keep from crying while accepting an award at this year’s CMT Artists of the Year event on Wednesday night.
