MORGAN EVANSStoney’s Rockin’ Country, Las Vegas’ #1 nightclub and country venue, is pleased to announce their upcoming concert line-up featuring some of country’s hottest emerging stars including: Morgan Evans with Madison Kozak, Alyssa Micaella, Stephanie Quayle, Tim Montana and Yankton. People talk about having your tribe or however you want to say it, and for me that was a guy named Chris DeStefano. When I met him it all started to click, just the way he started building tracks and sounds, and the people that he introduced me to after I met him about two years ago. We wrote Kiss Somebody” and then built the rest of the record on top of that.

Country singer-songwriter, Madison Kozak, was born and raised in rural Ontario, Canada. Having grown up in a musical household, she discovered her passion for entertaining at an early age. At just 10 years old, Madison was selected to perform at the Havelock Country Jamboree, a music festival drawing an audience of 30,000 people. Past performers include Dierks Bentley, Josh Turner, LeAnn Rimes, and Reba McEntire.

A bonafide country force in Australia, the native of Newcastle, New South Wales has garnered countless awards and honors, most recently claiming Country Work of the Year for Kiss Somebody at the 2018 APRA Music Awards. After sharing the bill with global superstar Taylor Swift, country hit-maker Cole Swindell and more A-list acts, Evans’ 10 in 10 Tour of 10 shows in 10 days included sold-out headline dates in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New York. He was a special guest on Chris Young’s Losing Sleep World Tour and hit the road with Old Dominion on the Make It Sweet Tour earlier this year.

Being from Australia, do you feel like you have a different perception of what country music is? Here it’s so tied up in social identity. Hear smash hits like ‘Kiss Somebody’ and ‘Day Drunk’, alongside new single ‘Young Again’ – out now. An incredible live show of sing-alongs and heart-shattering ballads, don’t miss Morgan Evans live.

Another standout, We Dream,” is the final song that Evans wrote, and it turned out to be the missing piece” of his story. A soaring expression of hope, the song reflects Evans’ own sunny optimism about life and love.

It turns out, this was a nod to the first time they met. It was March 2016, and the future couple had just finished co-hosting Australia’s Country Music Channel Awards. While the pair is keeping their one-year anniversary plans on the down-low for now, both artists are looking forward to some time together away from any concert stage.

For the remainder of the summer, Evans will be back out on the road, mostly at festivals, at a much less whirlwind pace. And he’ll be rejoining Chris Young on the fall leg of his Losing Sleep” tour after a successful run on the spring leg.

Kelsea just released her second album, Unapologetically , and toured with Keith Urban this year. Next year, she’ll join Kelly Clarkson ‘s Meaning of Life tour before headlining her own tour beginning in April 2019.

I’m learning every day about that kind of thing, but as an artist in the room, especially in Nashville, I feel like it’s your job to bring the idea or the feeling, you know? Those guys who sit in studios every day and write songs, they’re in better songwriting form than you are when you get in the room, so it’s up to you to bring in what you want to say or how you want to construct a feeling, and have the other people in the room help achieve that goal.

Touring and promoting their albums means the couple is often away from each other. In addition to phone calls and texts, Kelsea and Morgan have another strategy to help make up for time apart. As his romance with Ballerini caught fire, the love songs soon tumbled out, with no small help from some friends he’d met on another fateful trip back to Australia.

I bought the loop pedal to write songs on, to be honest, because I didn’t know that many people in Nashville at that point. If you kind of jam with yourself you can make your own beats. After a few times throwing together bands that never felt quite like a band, I started to take that pedal out and play shows with it.

Evans, whose song is currently sitting at No. 8 on the country charts, says he had no time do any partying” on the tour, but he did manage to sneak in a little off-stage fun during a stop in Austin, Texas: a visit to a landlocked surfing park.

The album’s bittersweet title song, Things That We Drink To,” is special to Evans because it’s a tribute to Rob Potts, his Australian manager who died last year in a motorcycle accident. But Evans considers Dance With Me,” a heart-throbbing duet with his 25-year-old wife, to be his favorite cut on the album.

The “Legends” singer rocketed to fame with her debut album, The First Time , which earned her a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and the distinction of being the only female country singer to have three consecutive No. 1 songs on a debut album. The Tennessee native has additionally racked up an Academy of Country Music award, a Billboard “Rising Star” award and an American Country Countdown award.

Morgan’s currently working on his debut album for Warner Music Nashville. He and Kelsea plan to tie the knot sometime near the end of the year. Whenever and wherever they meet up, Kelsea and Morgan are no doubt enjoying their time together and raising a glass to their love.

It’s about my manager Rob Potts, who passed away last year — he was the guy who discovered me in Australia and brought me to America, and made me keep coming back when I thought it was too hard. He was like a family member to me, and he was in a motorcycle accident last year. The day of his memorial here in Nashville, I was in the studio with Josh Osborne and Chris, and it was all we could think about. I guess we could have just not written that day, but Chris started playing this beat and I started playing a melody, and the words things that we drink to” just came out. We wrote this song as a celebration of life, and it could be for anyone who has lost somebody, but for me that day it was definitely for Rob.

Probably. But I feel like I don’t really get a choice in how open we are about that because Kelsea is so honest on social media. Laughs That’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me because there’s no energy wasted — we’re just so honest and open. But because we’re so open in life, I feel like the songs will complement that and make a lot of sense to people who follow us.

And it’s that all in” love story that, more than anything, drives Evans’ album, Things That We Drink To After all, who needs Ballerini as a co-writer when she’s already serving as the perfect muse? Indeed, the new album has to be one of the most life — and love — affirming releases in country music this year.

It’s an epic story, with or without a musical setting. Sparks first flew between Evans and Ballerini when they met in his native Australia in 2016. Ballerini was Down Under to appear on a country awards show that Evans, already an established artist there, was hosting. But lest you think Evans then followed his love-struck heart to Nashville — surprise — it turns out he’d already moved to Music City, where he’d been struggling to get a professional foothold since 2013.

He had grown up listening to American country music from Garth Brooks, Glen Campbell, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and others, and always dreamed of making his own mark in Music City. So he started traveling from Australia to Nashville and one year made the trip nine times. With 18 of those flights, I spent almost a month in the air that year,” he says.

There are so many similarities between Australian culture and American culture, and I feel like so many of them overlap within country music. There’s definitely things that I can’t sing about genuinely — like I can’t sing about the American flag because it wouldn’t sound genuine. But one of the things I love about my song American” so much is that living here for the past two years, I really have fallen in love with this country. I’ve been able to travel around and see it through the eyes of country music, and we found a way to sing about that in the song.

Hoping to follow in the footsteps of Keith Urban, another Aussie who successfully made the leap to the top of the U.S. charts, Evans put his head down and slowly started clawing his way up the ladder in America. And he has no regrets, although sometimes it does give him a chuckle.

Since, Evans has kept busy, writing and collaborating with other artists and perfecting his own live solo show, in which he serves as his own band by masterfully manning a loop pedal. He found a kindred spirit in producer Chris DeStefano, who produced his debut album for Warner Records, which will be released later this summer. His first U.S. single, Kiss Somebody,” earned him praise from Billboard and Rolling Stone, and he’s been singled out as an artist to watch by Pandora, Amazon Music, CMT and SiriusXM.

Somewhere in the mix he also debuted a music video for his latest release Day Drunk.” The video is a montage of clips that Evans and Ballerini took turns shooting on a GoPro camera during a recent three-day getaway to the Hawaiian island of Kauai.

At just 10 years old, Madison was selected to perform at the Havelock Country Jamboree, a music festival drawing an audience of 30,000 people. Madison’s passion for music eventually led her to Nashville, where she has since worked diligently to hone her craft. Madison seamlessly blends her old-country roots with clever lyrics and catchy melodies to create a sound that is fresh, unique and compelling. Whether it’s in front of ten people or a thousand, her infectious energy and lively personality are guaranteed to evoke excitement and enthusiasm across generations of audiences.

When Kelsea Ballerini learned her latest single Legends” hit No. 1 on the country charts her husband, country singer Morgan Evans, wanted to do something special to celebrate. Fans all over the world are about to find out why Morgan Evans has been hailed as one of the most captivating new artists in country, as he embarks on his whirlwind World Tour.

The country music stars tied the knot in an intimate oceanside ceremony Saturday evening, exchanging vows in front of family and friends on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The Grammy-nominated singer walked barefoot down the aisle and wore a simple, classic gown with lace details by Berta, while Kiss Somebody” singer Evans wore a suit by Joseph Abboud. The newlyweds exchanged David Yurman rings with customized messages engraved inside.

Three years ago, a single Morgan Evans moved to Nashville from Newcastle, Australia, with an acoustic guitar and three black shirts. A year ago, he made his U.S. debut with the peppy love song Kiss Somebody.” Today, he’s a married man celebrating a top 10 single at country radio.

I did the Key West Songwriters’ Fest four years ago, and that was a cool way for a guy who’s new in town to get to meet a bunch of people from Nashville, but in a more relaxed environment. And also, a good way to discover things — there’s people you’ve heard of, but never seen. I remember seeing Jeffrey Steele play down there for the first time, and I was like, Wow.” So experiences like that are very cool. After that, it became my number-one goal to write with him, and I ended up getting to do that for a record that we put out in Australia, so that was super cool.

Instead of being backed by a band, Evans played his 10 in 10 tour alone, accompanied only by a guitar and a loop pedal, a device that records music and, with a kick, immediately plays it back, essentially allowing you to serve as back-up to yourself. The device has been successfully used by Ed Sheeran, another inspiration to Evans.

I think it was probably when I was 13. I played music from when I was young; I had encouraging parents. I played piano from when I was five, I played in the school band — I played a baritone horn, or a euphonium — and then when I was 13 I started playing guitar and I thought, I’m going to do this forever.” I didn’t know that was a thing you could do as a job. At that point, I just knew I could play an instrument.

Evans’ U.S. debut album Things That We Drink To, out now, chronicles much of what he’s experienced in that period through its breezy mix of up-tempo jams, lovestruck anthems and loop-driven creative mojo. Evans and his producer, hit songwriter Chris DeStefano (Good Girl,” That’s My Kind of Night”), wrote each of the album’s 11 songs (including a duet with Ballerini) together and played every instrument — save for a few drum parts — making Things That We Drink To a truly revealing debut, both personally and artistically.

Morgan Evans began his professional career in his native Australia in 2012, releasing his eponymous debut album in 2014. His sleek country-pop found a wider audience in 2017, after he signed an international record deal that brought him his first American release in the form of the single “Kiss Somebody,” and also became known as the fiancee of country-pop star Kelsea Ballerini.
