Dierks BentleyFrederick Dierks Bentley 2 (born November 20, 1975 1 ) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Since making a life-altering drive with his father from Phoenix to Nashville when he was 19 years old, Bentley has forged his own path in an industry built predominantly on formula. He has mixed elements of modern country, classic country, bluegrass and rock, maintaining an unmistakable identity while constantly reinventing his sound. His album Home debuted at No. 1 and spawned three consecutive chart-topping hits, marking 12 career No. 1 songs for Bentley as a singer and songwriter. His five previous studio albums have sold more than five million copies, garnered 11 GRAMMY nominations and earned him an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry.

Bentley chafes a bit when fans or artists on the alt-country, Americana or bluegrass circuits throw stones at commercial country. He tries not to pay too much mind.

I like to be out in the woods before I go out on tour,” Bentley said this month from his home in Nashville, Tenn. Brothers Osborne perform on Saturday, April 13, 2019, during Day 3 of Country Thunder Arizona in Florence, Ariz.

Every year we wonder if it can get any worse, and while there are positive signs for country music’s future all over the place, the bad stuff somehow continues to only get worse. The only saving grace is that many of the songs highlighted below have become commercial flops, whereas in previous years it would be a virtual Top 10 on the country charts.

Known best for his role as Deacon Claybourne on the hit television show NASHVILLE, Charles (Chip) has performed on WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY, as well as appearing on many other films and television shows including THE POSTMAN, NYPD BLUE, ER, BIG LOVE, and the American version of THE OFFICE. He currently has a recurring role on TNT’s TELL ME YOUR SECRETS. It was NASHVILLE that reopened Esten’s musical career, and over the course of the last six years he has performed hundreds of live concerts. In January of this year he completed his first solo twelve-city tour through a sold out UK and Netherlands, and standing room only shows in Germany.

Urban walked out wearing an electric guitar strapped over a Dolly Parton t-shirt to sit in with Bentley’s band on The Mountain.” Urban slid licks into pockets over the course of the song and then ended with screaming, feverish solo that dropped Bentley to his knees.

On stage, Bentley displayed a certain Everyman charm. He’s blandly handsome, like the lead in a Hallmark Channel movie (just not one with Candace Cameron Bure). And since he’s between albums, his set list contained pretty much the same group of songs (just in a different order) as he was playing last summer when his album The Mountain” was still a new release.

Bentley’s seventh album, Riser , was released on February 25, 2014. 17 The album’s first single, ” Bourbon in Kentucky “, was released to country radio on June 10, 2013. It peaked at number 45 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, 18 becoming Bentley’s lowest charting single to date. The album’s second single, ” I Hold On “, was released on August 26, 2013. It became his first number one on the Country Airplay chart 18 in April 2014 and also his eleventh overall to do so. The third single, ” Drunk on a Plane “, followed that same month. It reached number one on Country Airplay in August 2014 and was also a strong commercial hit, reaching number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 7 The album’s fourth single, ” Say You Do “, was released on October 6, 2014. It reached at number one on Country Airplay in May 2015. The title track became the album’s fifth single in June 2015.

And if you want a Dierks Bentley factoid that’s even more Colorado than that, it bears mentioning his BFF is Peyton Manning himself. The two went fishing together and got photobombed by bears.

Seven Peaks is organized so that fans who park their campers and pitch their tents over its sprawling 220-acre footprint also have access to a range of outdoor activities for which the area is known. For an added fee, they can go fly fishing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, hiking, take an ATV tour and more. The add-ons are popular and sell out weeks in advance. The celebrities enjoy the area, too. Townes went horseback riding, and Bentley boasted that between himself and Bryan, he snagged more fish.

Bentley has been bringing his oldest daughter Evalyn, 10, on stage in Nashville to sing with him since she was a toddler. But Evie doesn’t have the voice of a baby anymore. The pair sang Travelin’ Light” from his current album The Mountain,” and his little girl’s strong and textured voice rang through the arena with the confidence of someone twice her age. But she also adorably acted her age. Early in the song and again at the end, Evie did “the floss” dance. Bentley seemed surprised the first time. The second, joking, he told her to take your flossing and go to bed.” It was about 10:30 p.m. at the time.

Dierks Bentley is an American vocalist and musician. He turned into the most youthful individual from the Grand Ole Opry at age 29. He marked to Capitol Nashville and discharged his self-titled introduction collection in 2003. His first DVD, The Dierks Bentley Experience, was recorded in 2006.

Dean Sams stormed the Country Thunder stage and shouted C’mon y’all! Here we go” before joining his Lonestar bandmates in a flawless re-creation of the harmonies to the chorus of What About Now,” one of the nine chart-topping hits that helped define them as a major force in country.

Bentley has a knack for working place details into his songs. His last record was recorded in Colorado (hence the pot). He lives in Nashville, but he’s from Arizona, which might explain his maverick streak. Still, he’s not a guy who insists he can handle everything by himself. His single Woman, Amen,” is a song of thanks for love and wisdom in a partner. I’d lose my way, yeah I’d lose my mind if I faced one day on my own,” he sings.

People who chose not to leave the campground had access to the beach — Bentley’s Somewhere on a Beach, named after one of his most popular hit songs. The man-made lake area is rimmed with sand and filled with filtered water that replenishes every 24 hours. DJ Aydamn set up shop on a sand bar in the center to keep the area rocking. The festival provided tents, gigantic floats and hammocks for attendees, and the lake quickly became one of the most popular destinations on the property, attracting thousands daily.

Seven Peaks joins an already crowded country music festival scene. Nashville hosts the CMA Music Festival. Indio, California, has Stagecoach. Faster Horses is in Brooklyn, Michigan. Watershed is at the Gorge in George, Washington. Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is home to the Tortuga Music Festival, and Chicago has Windy City Smokeout — and that’s just for starters. However, ‘Connell believes Seven Peaks is not more of the same.

When Jon Pardi started his country music career, he toured with Bentley back in 2010. A lot has changed throughout the years; both singers careers have evolved, and they have established themselves as respected names in country music. Pardi, the always clean-shaven singer, could certainly hold his own tour by performing on bigger stages. He captured the audience early on and delivered what they wanted with such fan-favorite hits as What I Can’t Put Down.” Pardi’s catalog has enough good songs that he could have played an extended set; perhaps we will see him headline his own tour again soon.

Fans enjoy the “Somewhere on the Beach” section of the Seven Peaks Music Festival in Buena Vista, Colo. on Saturday, August 31, 2019. The man-made lake area is rimmed with sand and filled with filtered water that replenishes every 24 hours.

The Mountain” also continues a trend for Bentley of writing albums with a thematic thread and a personal connection to his life. The album paints a portrait of a man approaching middle age, liking the place he’s reached, but recognizing life also offers much more to accomplish, learn and enjoy. The title song is about meeting and embracing life’s challenges and opportunities. Living” (currently climbing the singles charts) clearly delineates the difference between existing and truly living and appreciating life. Woman, Amen” (a recent No. 1 single on Billboard” magazine’s Country Airplay chart) is about Bentley’s wife, Cassidy, and the lasting source of love, faith, hope and inspiration a man can find in a woman. Such thoughtful and honest lyrics help Bentley stand out in a country genre filled with its share of songs talking about pickup trucks, drinking beer or hanging out in honky tonks with a group of bro’s.

Of course, as wholesome as the video and track may be, Dierks Bentley has left his home-sweet-home in Nashville to hit the road and bring these record-breaking songs to the stage. If you want to catch him in person, be sure to head over to his official website to keep an eye out for tour dates near you.

While the duo aren’t ready to sing the national anthem anytime soon, they are more than excited to test out the new songs on the road as part of Carrie Underwood‘s Cry Pretty Tour 360. Maddie & Tae are more confident in their live show and themselves, and it shows within the music.

In a crowded space, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row stands out with award winning food & drinks, exhilarating nightlife, and a rock & roll attitude inspired by Dierks himself.
