Arlington, Texas-based rapper Tay-K was born Taymor Travon McIntyre in 2000 in Long Beach, California and lived in Compton and Las Vegas before moving to Arlington at age nine. A North Texas rapper was found guilty of murder and aggravated robbery by a Tarrant County jury on Friday.
He was also found guilty on three counts of aggravated robbery and sentenced to 30 years in prison for one charge and an additional 13 years each for the two remaining charges. McIntyre, who was 16 when the murder occurred but was later certified to stand trial as an adult, had faced five to 99 years or life in prison on each conviction.

Tay-K, 19, is being accused of killing Saldivar in San Antonio in 2017. At the time of the incident, Tay-K was also on the run for his role in the murder of Ethan Walker, which took place one year earlier.
In addition to the 55 years in prison and a $10,000 fine for Walker’s murder, McIntyre was sentenced to 30 years in prison and a $5,000 fine for a count of aggravated robbery, as well as 13 years and a $3,000 fine for two others counts of aggravated robbery. The state also claimed that McIntyre and his alleged accomplices came armed and prepared for a potentially deadly fight after having been informed that firearms were present in the house. McIntyre was 16 at the time his co-conspirator Latharian Merritt fired the fatal shots. Merritt was found guilty of murder in March 2018.
On Friday, Tay-K was sentenced to 55 years in prison for the role in Walker’s death. In addition, he was fined $21,000 and still has to serve a 30-year sentence for aggravated robbery and two additional 13-year prison sentences for other instances of aggravated robbery (that’s an aggregated 111 years). He is still facing another capital murder charge for the death of Saldivar, and a lawsuit from Pepe.
